Just a Fellow Traveler on This Narrow Path, Not Further Along
If you’ve found yourself here, maybe part of you wonders:
“Does she have something I don’t?”
“Has she figured out how to live the narrow path with ease?”
Let me be the first to say it, clearly and without hesitation:
I am not further along.
Not even close.
I’m not writing from a mountaintop.
I’m writing from the middle of the road—
sometimes crawling, sometimes stumbling, sometimes stopping to cry beside my dog on a walk because it all feels too heavy.
I’m not here because I’ve mastered the sacred simplicity path.
I’m here because I felt led by the Holy Spirit, even though I have no idea how I’m qualified.
His Way Isn’t Always Logical—But It’s Always Holy
One of the hardest parts of this journey is that the Holy Spirit’s guidance often doesn’t make sense to the world.
Sometimes He whispers:
Give that away.
Say “no” to that opportunity.
Stay hidden.
Forgive again.
Rest while others rush.
Be quiet when everything in you wants to defend yourself.
And it’s not always “wise” or “logical” in worldly terms.
It’s countercultural.
It’s uncomfortable.
And yes, it’s hard.
Sometimes the hardest thing is believing you heard God right when everyone else is doing the opposite and calling it wisdom.
Why This Is Called Simplicity
The sacred simplicity path isn’t easy—but it is simple.
Not in the sense of minimalism or aesthetics, but in this:
You begin to live by Biblical principles that center on peace, simplicity, obedience, and trust—even when no one else understands.
You begin to care less about what the world can offer,
and more about the unseen, eternal things of God.
You start letting go of what clutters the soul:
The pressure to prove yourself
The obsession with possessions
The constant noise of performance
This is a life where eternal treasures matter more than earthly ones, and your heart begins to quiet down in the simplicity of God’s presence.
I Walk Beside You
If you’re struggling, doubting, or unsure—
You are not weak. You are normal.
This road was never promised to be easy.
But it was promised to lead to life.
So if you’ve been feeling like the only one wrestling with God's quiet nudges that don’t make sense,
know this:
You’re not alone.
And neither am I.
Let’s keep walking this narrow, sacred road—imperfectly but faithfully.
Together.
